Calendar

Check out our list of bike-related events across the city, including rides, courses, films, sales, and other events on our calendar.

Get involved in your local bike community—there are events going all year round. If you are an organizer of an event, please contact us with your event details to have it added to our calendar. EBC does not necessarily endorse any of the events posted on our calendar. This listing is for informational purposes only.

If you do not see any courses listed then we do not have any currently scheduled. Fear not! You can visit BikeWorks during regular shop hours to learn from our volunteer mechanics, year-round.

Mountain Equipment Co-op also offers a number of regular, free courses.

Our popular course, Hands-on Intro to Bike Maintenance, returns this year with multiple dates and locations to choose from. This 3-hour class is a great place to start if you have little or no experience working on bikes and includes:

  • cleaning and lubrication,
  • how to fix a flat tire,
  • basic brake and gearing adjustments, and
  • how to spot small problems before they become big problems.

Don’t see any mechanic courses currently available through EBC? MEC offers weekly basic and hands-on mechanical clinics to learn about your bike.

Check their calendar for upcoming rides, cycling events and courses hosted by Mountain Equipment Co-op Edmonton.

We are always looking for people to help out at our community bike shop. No mechanical skills are needed: volunteers can take on duties as a shop host or mechanic, or both, and there are many opportunities for volunteers to develop mechanical skills (through private volunteer-only classes as well as during regular shifts).

Register for one of our upcoming volunteer orientations.
