Become an EBC member today!

If you value what EBC offers to the cycling community in Edmonton, consider becoming a member to support our work! More members means that EBC has a stable funding base to run and expand programs in the city, and gives commuting cyclists in Edmonton a louder and more effective collective voice.

Membership in EBC is just $20.00 for regular members, $15.00 for individuals with low income, $40.00 for a household, and $50.00 for supporting members (those people who have a little spare cash and want to support EBC even more!).

You can become a member by dropping by BikeWorks (10047-80 Avenue, entry through the alley) and filling in a membership form.

What do you get for being a member?

BikeWorks discounts

If you are planning on visiting BikeWorks more than a couple times a year, it makes sense to buy a membership. EBC members pay just $2.00 for an hour of shop time, while non-members pay $5.00. A spring tune-up and a couple of minor problems during the year will pay for the membership!

The Cyclist’s Vehicle

Members of EBC receive our regular newsletter, The Cyclist’s Vehicle, which contains interesting articles on cycle use, city commuting, general maintenance, city bicycle planning decisions, a list of upcoming EBC events, and more. It’s the best way to stay connected to cycling in Edmonton.

Bicycle advocacy

EBC works with city planners, bicycle-oriented groups and others to speak for commuting cyclists to ensure that cyclists can get around Edmonton quickly and safely. Our history of successful campaigns shows that we can win improvements for bike commuters when we act collectively. More members gives EBC, and commuting cyclists in the city, a greater voice when we are advocating for improvements in cycling infrastructure, services and safety.

Stay connected

EBC members receive regular email updates about upcoming mechanics courses at BikeWorks, cycling events in the city, volunteer opportunities with EBC, and important cycling issues in Edmonton. Becoming an EBC member means you stay connected with what’s going down in the world of two-wheeled travel.

Warm Fuzzies

Of all the benefits of membership, the most important is that it supports our activities, which is crucial to us as an all-volunteer, non-profit group. If you want EBC and BikeWorks to keep on doing what we’re doing, show your support by becoming a member. We guarantee it will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling.
