Here’s an article from the Business of Fashion about Vancouver’s new Fashion Cycle.
Thanks to Karly for sending the link our way.

The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society (EBC), a non-profit society formed in 1980, is a leader in the Edmonton cycling community. We support people using bicycles as everyday urban travel.
We sell used bikes, accept donated bikes, and run bike repair and riding courses. We also operate a volunteer-run community bike workshop where you can drop in and learn how to fix your bike. For more info, including workshop hours, read our FAQ.

When you’re an eight-year-old boy, I suppose riding 80 blocks to the mall is just par for the mini-golf course. <article>
Considering the typical quality of kids’ bikes (heavy steel behemoths, often just single-speed with coaster brakes), I think it’s worth putting money down that this kid will be in the Paris-Roubaix when he grows up.

Perhaps you’ve read the beginning of the story “The Falling Suitcase” by Robert Drinkwater in the new Cyclists’ Vehicle. To find the full short story, look under the file ‘projects’ in the section ‘Under the helmet’. Creative musings about and featuring the bicycle can be found in the section ‘Under the Helmet’. Do you have your own piece to submit? Email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Here, under the “Projects” folder on the EBC homepage, we have a new section called “Under the Helmet”. Poetry, artwork, non fiction and fiction, this section shows the muse’s bicycle best. If this spring finds you in a creative mood, please send us your expressions to post on this site! Enjoy!
