What we do

The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society (EBC), a non-profit society formed in 1980, is a leader in the Edmonton cycling community. We support people using bicycles as everyday urban travel.

We sell used bikes, accept donated bikes, and run bike repair and riding courses. We also operate a volunteer-run community bike workshop where you can drop in and learn how to fix your bike. For more info, including workshop hours, read our FAQ.

Bike Movies

0 comments at 5:02 pm posted by Chris C

There are free bike movies screening all throughout the month of June.  You can get all the details on the Bikeology website, or a summary on its Google calendar.

Films include Portland’s Filmed-by-Bike, Offroad to Athens, Monkey Warfare, Canadian Bike Shorts, Nebraska Supersonic, and ET, the Extra Terrestrial.

Not enough?  Missing Breaking Away or Les triplettes de Belleville?  Or having a Ralph Macchio craving requiring another viewing of The Karate Kid?

Alternative Video Spot has a shelf dedicated to bike movies for the month of June, so go grab a bike flick and relax after the sun sets.

(You can also e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to recommend films for next year.)

Someone arrived at our site by way of the search phrase, “How long does it take mechanics to fix a leak”.

The answer, from Bikeology a few years ago: under 5 minutes.
