Movie night at BikeWorks

Begins: 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Come on down to BikeWorks for an evening of cycling cinema. We’ll be screeing B.I.K.E (http://www.bike-films.com/). Note that this film is unrated, and contains content and language that may not be appropriate for all ages. We’ll be showing a more family-friendly film in April.
Beginning at 7:00 PM, we’ll be screeing the film “B.I.K.E” at BikeWorks:
Two filmmakers infiltrate an underground bicycle club.
Directors Jacob Sepitmus and Anthony Howard create a gritty, conceptually dichotomous and visually stylistic film with B.I.K.E. The film is a depiction of the Brooklyn chapter of the Black Label Bike Club (BLBC), a fringe network of tall bike jousters that combine and justify their medieval inspired competitions with environmentalist and anti-consumerist rhetoric and politically radical ideals.
Taking place in the context of the 2004 Republican National Convention, Fountainhead Films’ B.I.K.E. is a riveting look into the ways in which identity is important for a collective of fiercely independent people.

The Kickstand Circus is a group of people who understand that only a cruiser is truly made for cruising, that sometimes style is more important than speed, and that no amount of “aftermarket cool” will turn your fixie into a cruiser. You can only ride a cruiser bike on a cruiser nite. If this makes sense, you’re part of the Kickstand Circus.
