Bike Art Auction & Anniversary Party
Posted by Alex H
Friday, March 4, 2011
Begins: 7pm-midnight
Edmonton’s first Bike Art Auction will celebrate EBC’s 30th Anniversary and Bikeology Festival’s 10th Anniversary! Pretty things, pedal-powered music, cycling enthusiasts, door prizes, slideshow… Yeah, you better be there.
This fundraiser celebration will directly support the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society to continue to spread bicycle love. Indulge in the amazing, locally-made bike art showcasing over 25 artists. Bid on original prints, sculptures, tshirts, posters, handmade bike accessories and more!
Jump onto one of Music Is A Weapon’s 10 bike-powered generators to energize the live music! Join a team of friends to ride for a 15 minutes shift of no-snow winter biking.
We’ll map out the past 30 years of EBC and the many people and projects that have made cycling in Edmonton what it is today. Smelly markers will be on deck so that you can add your details to our timeline. Past, present and future volunteers and staff of EBC are welcomed to attend! We’re inviting all the bike shops and cycling clubs in town too so that we can have a grand bike party.
