Chris Chan, Executive Director
My background is in engineering, but I’ve been employed in the non-profit sector since 2009, and love every day of work.
In the years that I’ve been involved in supporting cycling in the community, I’ve come to realize that how we connect the fabric of our urban environment (the natural, the built-outdoors, the indoors & the activities we do in all these spaces) is what gives a city character, and what makes it worth living in.
While I work directly to support the use of bicycles, my goal is to help build a better city. The bicycle is an effective tool (just one of many) to connect people with their city. This work recognizes that cities must design for active transportation to nurture those connections.
